Happy Spring!!
We are in the home stretch of the school year! We have many exciting things to look forward to, such as our field trip, field day and spring concert.
In Science, students have been learning about Earth Science. Students have been studying the Earth's four spheres and their interactions. Further, they have been working on researching a desert organism, creating a documentary teaching about their organism and 3-D printing their organism. Make sure to stop by the Open House/ STEAM Celebration to see our finished products!!
In math, we are working on multiplying and dividing decimals. Please be sure to practice basic math facts at home each night. This will allow students to focus on strategies to solve problems rather than getting caught up in solving basic facts.
In Social Studies, we are studying the Revolutionary War. We have also been invited, at random, to join the Great State Race and to write to 5th graders in different states. Ask your child which state they have chosen to write to!
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me!
